Axon Moore have been engaged by one of their largest FTSE listed clients in Leeds to source a Group Financial Accountant.
Reporting to the Finance Manager - Group Reporting, the Group Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering high quality Group financial reporting. The role involves frequent interaction with the Chief Financial Officer, Group Financial Controller and other senior managers across the Finance Team and the wider business.
In this high-profile role, you will be responsible for the preparation of Group management accounts, including insightful commentary for key stakeholders. You will assist with the management, co-ordination and delivery of half-year and full-year Group reporting including: Group consolidation; investor presentations; result announcements and end-to-end Annual Report production. You will also play a key role in helping to manage the external audit process.
The Group Financial Accountant will report and monitor covenants for banks and other lenders. You will also assist with work on other ad-hoc projects as required, such as the implementation of new accounting standards applicable to the Group and facilitating changes to the Group structure.
The successful candidate will be a newly / recently qualified accountant, preferably ACA/ACCA qualified. You will have strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail. You will also have the ability to work collaboratively with senior staff within the Finance Team and across the business, communicating complex technical accounting matters in simple terms. You will be adaptable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering to tight timescales. Experience of IFRS and FRS 101 reporting is desirable.
Salary: £40,000 + Package
