Finance Director, Oulton
£80,000 - £100,000 + car + bonus + LTIP
Established in 2009, G3 has grown to become one of the largest independent vehicle remarketing specialists in the UK servicing a broad spectrum of finance houses, leasing operators, main dealers and car supermarkets.
Following significant investment, G3 is now embarking upon a new phase of their journey which will see them relocate to a purpose built, hi-tech, facility in Q1 2020. The new site will allow a significant scaling up of their current operations, in a market ready for change. As part of this growth they will require more robust and insightful financial information and challenge. The appointment of a strong, commercially focused, FD is key to the plan.
The Finance Director will work closely with the owners, stakeholders and external advisors to help drive the commercial and strategic conversation whilst also weaving financial control and understanding through the business in an enthusiastic and collaborative manner.
The Finance Director must be able to bring this additional commercial and strategic bandwidth to the senior management team whilst also maintaining a hands-on familiarity with the financial detail of the company.
Further developing a rigorous and scalable financial controls environment will be important to the success of this role but steering, framing and challenging the commercial decision making will allow the entrepreneurial nature of G3 to flourish.
This role will have a direct impact on the bottom line and by providing speedy and insightful commercial challenge you will allow the business to respond nimbly to new opportunities for growth and investment.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a can-do mind-set and a passion for adding value beyond the numbers. You must be prepared to challenge where appropriate and work relentlessly to develop significant opportunities for growth and profitability.
Qualified and with experience in a Number 1 finance role, you will also be a natural leader with the communication skills, credibility and gravitas to influence at every level from the shop floor to the Boardroom.
You will definitely be able to demonstrate the ability to identify commercial initiatives and drive business performance and this will be examined closely at interview. Previous hands-on M&A experiences is a pre-requisite.
