c£120k plus car, benefits and LTIP
My client is a privately owned business operating in the rapidly growing healthcare nutrition market - vitamins, minerals and supplements. They develop and supply a range of products to major high street and online retailers.
The current health care situation is likely to fuel further significant growth in this market and the business has ambitious plans to grow organically and by acquisition.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will drive and manage the continued profitable growth of the business.
This will include:
Further development of strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
Leading key projects around CRM and Finance systems
Increasing the effectiveness of the company’s digital marketing strategy
Working to develop new products and alternative routes to market
The role will be responsible for the development and management of a high performing operational team with direct reports across key accounts, sales, purchasing/ trading and finance.
The position will carry a base salary of around £120k plus car and benefits. There will be an LTIP which potentially could deliver significant wealth creation dependent on targets being reached.
The actual background and experience of the successful candidate is less important than their attitudes, behaviours and personality style.
The COO could come from a range of sectors but they will have to be an energetic, articulate, strong leader, equally able to challenge, influence and support all areas of the business with an insightful, commercially astute approach.
They must also have a strong appreciation of finance including P&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
This position may well suit a highly commercial finance professional looking to broaden their experience.
