Last night saw the return of the Axon Moore Women In Business networking events. Co-sponsored by EY, it saw over 30 professional women come together and reconnect after such a long break.
Victoria Price, UK Private Client Service Leader at EY, was delighted to speak at the event and said “EY are committed to building a better working world by accelerating gender parity at EY and beyond. We are very pleased to be co-sponsors of this fantastic Women In Business event, bringing together many of the leading business women from across the North West.”
The Women In Business event, which was held at The Mere, Cheshire’s premier resort destination for business, took the format of a networking session and a talk from Leadership Executive Coach, Sarah Johnstone. Sarah helps organisations and individuals perform at their best. She helps people gain clarity of their business purpose, while removing any interference to create a future they can be proud of, combining their leadership skills with an ability to help people make the essential shifts to make it happen.
The evening was as engaging as it was fascinating, with Sarah introducing a series of reset techniques to attendees to help them relax, reset and refocus after a turbulent 18 months. Amongst the Axon Moore contingent who were in attendance was Gill Bellchambers, Business Director at Axon Moore’s CFO & Executive Practice. With previous experience of working with Sarah over the past year, Gill had nothing but praise for Sarah’s work, explaining “I came across Sarah’s work last year when I was experiencing my own adversity during Covid and the lockdowns. Sarah helped me calm my thoughts, pause and reflect with some effective techniques and coping strategies.”
Sarah, who was delighted to speak at our event, said “I love how Axon Moore is supporting female leaders with powerful thinking and practical ways to help in this current climate. I’m delighted to be able to share proven ways of being and thinking that will keep people in their best mindset during what is likely to be another unpredictable year.”
Last night’s event was a chance for a large group of professional women from a range of backgrounds and businesses to meet in one space for the first time in over 18 months. Following its huge success, more Women In Business events are in the pipeline over the coming months and they will once again provide everyone with the opportunity to support one another in promoting female talent in the North West.
Women In Business events are not limited to specific companies on a guest list. If you are a professional women in business and are interested in joining us please get in touch with Gill Bellchambers on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and she’d be happy to get you involved.
