Ukraine is facing an urgent humanitarian crisis and hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Ukrainian refugees are having to flee for their lives following the invasion of their country.
Such sad news on the other side of Europe has inspired our very own Linzie Strickland to assemble a team to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee - Ukraine Appeal to help Ukrainian refugees whose lives will never be the same again.
The team are going to cover a grand total of 1,500 miles over the next month, which equates to the distance a refugee would need to travel from Ukraine to Manchester. Team members have the option to walk, run, cycle or if they're brave, to even swim the distance from Ukraine to Manchester!
If you would like to help, you can donate through the JustGiving page. It's simple, fast and totally secure. Once you've made a donation, your money will be sent directly to the charity and, if you're a UK Tax Payer, the Government will add 25% for Gift Aid if you tick that option.
How Gift Aid works:
If you tick the option to add Gift Aid, a £20 donation from yourself will actually donate £25 to helping Ukrainian refugees at this horrendous time.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps to support the hundreds of thousands of people impacted by this humanitarian crisis.
