Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s leading accountancy firms – based near Bolton – in their search for an enthusiastic and energetic finance individual. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients, including ownership of the client relationship and the adherence to both statutory and internal deadlines.
  • Liaise with clients to aid the smooth on-boarding of clients that subscribe to our accountancy service.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly payroll, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns to HMRC.
  • Perform quarterly reviews of an online bookkeeping tool to ensure financial information is up-to-date, accurate and free from error.
  • Preparation and submission of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns to HMRC.
  • Responsible for the registrations completed by the trainee accountant.
  • Involvement in the training of new members of staff on the team.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • The ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Capable of being flexible and adapting to changes, such as legislation amendments.
  • Qualified or studying towards their AAT qualification.
  • The ability to work through tasks of varying complexity in a methodical manner.
  • Able to work individually and also contribute as part of a team.
