Accounts Assistant | £25,000 - £30,000 + Bonus + Study Support | Lancaster + Hybrid | Well-established international organisation | Family-like team dynamic

Axon Moore are proud to have partnered with a rapidly-growing global organisation, based near Lancaster, in their search for a dynamic and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their specialist team in a broad and varied role and benefit from execeptional mentorship and progression pathways.

This exciting opportunity is well suited to experienced candidates who have gained broad exposure to both purchase and sales ledger in previous roles and are able to take the lead with all matters transactional finance within a fast-paced environment with the view to progressing into a more management accounts-focused role in the future.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Approving and posting invoices onto system
  • Carriage reconciliations and inventory management
  • GRNI reporting, ensuring all items are investigated in a timely manner
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Completing payment runs
  • Processing cash receipts and payments onto system
  • Raising sales invoices daily, ensuring invoices are distributed in a timely manner
  • Monitoring credit limits and raising issues with management
  • Reviewing aged debt and proactively distributing statements to ensure payment terms are met
  • Monitoring sales tax compliance and ensuring all invoices and credits are calculated accurately and in accordance with legislation
  • Credit control duties
  • Producing Daily Outturn reports for review by Management Accountant 
  • Processing all supplier payments in a timely manner
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Inter-company reconciliation and sales analysis
  • Credit card reconciliations, ensuring all receipts are received in a timely manner
  • Inbox management
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least 2 years in a similar role
  • Qualified or pursing AAT (desired)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Positive, enthusiastic and adaptable
  • Methodical approach to tackling workload
  • Capable of working independently and in a team
  • Demonstrate high-levels of customer service
  • Experience of working with international companies (desired)
  • Advanced IT and MS Excel skills
