Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Manager to join a global services company on a 6 months basis at their modern Office based in Runcorn with hybrid working. 

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will provide leadership to the Accounts Payable team to ensure invoices are processed in an efficient and timely manner to facilitate prompt payment. An excellent level of customer service is provided to both internal and external customers. 

Job Responsibilities:

 

 The following responsibilities are associated with this job role:
  • Providing active and enthusiastic leadership to the AP team
  • Achieving agreed AP processing service levels and monitoring performance against KPIs
  • Driving continuous improvement in AP processes to deliver a more efficient and effective service
  • Effective succession planning and the development of the team to maximise their potential
  • To maximise the utilisation of resource within the AP team to achieve optimum potential
  • All processes are documented in a standardised format and reviewed regularly, as a minimum annually
  • External and internal customer focus required ensuring an effective billing service and appropriate escalation of issues
  • Monitoring and overseeing timely and accurate reconciliations to suppliers/creditors, processing payments to suppliers/creditors promptly and resolving any supplier/creditor queries within service levels
  • Ensure month end deadlines are met
  • Provide cash flow forecasts as requested
  • Ad Hoc Project work, including assisting with the implementation of P2P systems and processes
  • Assist with internal audit, external audit, and internal control queries and process implementation as needed
  • Has a good understanding of both internal and external customer requirements and provides the best possible service to customers
  • Ensure reporting deadlines are met and PPR is accurate and submitted on time
  • Any other Ad-hoc duties as required
 Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years Team Management experience preferably in Accounts Payable
  • Experience and knowledge of ERP systems preferably SAP and P2P systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Experienced in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Able to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent interpersonal, management and influencing skills
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage priorities
