Job description

Axon Moore are working exclusively with an international company based in Irlam.We are looking to appoint an Accounts Receivable role which will be a mix of AR and Credit Control.This role is based in their UK Financial Shared Service Centre which provides support to the financial transactions of the UK company and partners and supports other group entities based in the UK, Italy and the USA.

The primary function of the Accounts Receivable Associate is to support the Accounts Receivable processes; ensuring the issue of invoices to customers, allocating cash, reconciling aged debtors, all elements of credit control, order releases, month-end processes, and resolution of queries.

A requirement for this role is ability to visit the sites in the UK, once every few of months to build and maintain strong relations sites.

Salary and Benefits: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum DOE. Hybrid working 2 days from home, flexible working hours, pension matched to 8%, holidays currently 20 days plus banks, rising 1 day each year, cycle to work, discounts, free parking, well equipped kitchens and facilities.

Responsibilities :
  • End-to-end accounts receivable activities
  • Ensuring customer accounts are set up and maintained
  • Invoicing and raising credit notes
  • Responding to queries and fixing appropriately, assessing disputes and accounts on hold
  • Monthly reviews on debt and communicating appropriate action
  • Managing the ledgers, monitoring debt and chasing overdue invoices by telephone and email
  • Processing bank receipts and allocating cash
  • Various month end tasks
  • Ad-hoc duties as required
Person Specification:
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in Accounts Receivable, preferably within a Shared Service Centre Environment
  • Financial Qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge of AS 400 or JD Edwards is desirable but not essential
  • Good knowledge of excel including reporting, lookups and pivot tables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise and strong attention to detail
