Job description

Axon Moore are working on behalf of an ambitious and growing business based in South Manchester, to appoint an Accounts Receivable Manager for their busy Finance Shared Service Centre, based in their UK and Ireland Head Offices.

As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will build excellent relationships with both internal and external customers. The successful applicant will be a confident, pro-active, hardworking individual, with a real track record of improving performance. Your success will lie in your ability to effectively communicate and collaborate confidently at all levels within the business.

Duties:

  • Reporting to the UKIE Deputy Finance Director, responsible for managing all aspects, including performance, of a team of 3 Team Leaders and 8 Associates
  • Full management of Credit Risk and Collection strategies on debtor ledgers for the four UK legal entities and two Republic of Ireland entities. Comprising of circa 5000 customers, total ledger value is in excess of £200m across 24 UK and Ireland sites
  • UK and International Billing to include consolidation, consignment stock, self-billing, interplant and intercompany in line with group policy, audit and HMRC legislation. Reconciliation of unbilled items across multiple ERP billing systems with documented action plans to clear
  • Systems interface mapping and management across multiple platforms
  • Management of all aspects of VAT and Tax compliance in relation to International Trading, validation of export shipping paperwork, letters of credit and bank guarantees
  • SAP Super User, Trainer and Project Implementer
Person Specification:
  • Experience of managing a transactional finance team which includes the generation of large quantities of customer invoices and complex trading relationships
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in a transactional finance related role
  • Strong management skills with a track record of improving performance
  • Advanced Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Lookups – and SAP is experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of working with other Departments in order to achieve cross-department objectives
  • Great attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines and deliver work in a fast-paced finance environment
