Axon Moore delighted to be partnering with an ambitious, high-growth PE-backed business in Bolton to recruit an Assistant Accountant who will benefit from broad exposure and hands-on training from a mentoring Finance Manager.

This is a highly sought-after role which is well suited to Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA who are ambitious and keen to grow and develop alongside a business. There will be plenty of scope for long-term progression within this role, therefore, a desire to achieve and succeed is essential.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Management of Fixed Asset schedule and posting of depreciation to management accounts
• Management and analysis of disbursements and prepayments
• Monthly transactional analysis
• Production, and ownership, of the chargeable time report and ensuring time is posted to time recording system
• Production, and ownership, of the aged debt report and ensuring credit control policies are being followed
• Supporting with Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
• Initial review and authorisation of expenses, ensuring VAT appropriately applied
• Assist with queries from operational teams within the international entities
• Ad-hoc duties

Required Experience and Skills:

• AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organisational and time-keeping skills
• High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
• Good IT and MS Excel skills
• Prior exposure to month-end accounts
