Are you a part qualified/fully qualified Management Accountant looking for that next step up into a commercially focused Assistant Finance Manager position?

This is an exceptional opportunity to work for a very high performing UK market leader, who's head offices are based in South Leeds. The business have had a record two years over 2020/2021, and are now planning for further growth over the next 12 months.

As a result of their success, they are now looking to hire an Assistant Finance Manager into a newly created role that will work directly alongside the Finance Manager. The role will be varied as it will be responsible for management accounts preparation, business partnering/providing commercial insight, and overseeing and managing the small purchase ledger team.

Key duties will include:
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement and notes
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating reconciling differences through to resolution in accordance with agreed schedule
  • Completion of VAT return
  • Assisting with all other statutory reporting requirements, including liaison with all stakeholders
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager and Finance Director in working with other areas of the business to develop and deliver timely analysis of data and commercial insight to support and drive business decision making, particularly in relation to commercial reporting
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Cash flow analysis and modelling
  • Responsibility for the intercompany reconciliation process
  • Management of the Purchase Ledger function (2 staff) providing guidance, support and coaching

The successful candidate will:
  • Be qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA - Essential
  • Have previous experience of preparing full management accounts, ideally for multiple entities - Essential
  • Have previous experience of financial analysis/providing commercial insight/business partnering - Essential
  • Have a strong knowledge of MS Excel - Essential
