Purpose of the role:
The Assistant Commercial Accountant is responsible for performing Accounts payable and Accounts receivable duties, cash management, assist in the Month End process and completion of Revenue/Regulations returns for the Business.

- Monthly Revenue/Regulations returns
- Cash Management
- Assist in the Month End process
- Other ad hoc tasks as required to ensure smooth operation of Finance department
- Develops good working relationships with other teams
- Demonstrates self-motivation, initiative and gets on with tasks
- Recognises internal and external customers and provides high level of service
- Is positive and helpful when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Skills & experience:
- Finalist or part qualified Accountant with at least 3 years industry experience (Construction/Manufacturing desirable but not essential)
- Strong working knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Strong management of cash
- Experience of working with Finance systems
- Teamwork & relationship management with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexible approach to work, planning and time management
- Awareness of all tax and VAT implications in UK & ROI
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to listen and appreciate impact of team’s work on the rest of the business
- Advanced Excel skills
