Axon Moore are working with an international, market-leading tech business that is looking for a stand-out, trail blazing candidate to fore fill an exciting, newly created Commercial Finance Manager role. The Commercial Finance Manager will sit as the number 1 in finance within one of the businesses hyper-growth subsidiaries; working closely with the business’ CEO and COO you will enjoy complete trust and autonomy to shape the role including complete flexibility to work from home or out of any one of their offices across West Yorkshire.

As Commercial Finance Manager you will be responsible for commercial and financial business partnering; providing commercial finance insight into all areas of the business to shape key decisions; setting budgets & forecasts - utilising accurate and timely reports and data.


Core Accountabilities:
  • Lead the delivery of the annual budget and regular re-forecasts.
  • Undertake proactive commercial analysis, including cost and benefit analysis, for the business to lead senior decision-making and to provide insight into commercial growth opportunities, guest and holiday homeowner needs, behaviour & trends.
  • Lead on business case creation via the delivery of accurate and timely analysis to ensure all relevant impacts have been identified and assessed accordingly.
  • Lead the post investment appraisal process by working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to complete associated analysis and reporting on project and initiative delivery.
  • Playback financial & non-financial data and modelling to a range of stakeholders in a clear, concise and appropriate manner.
  • Lead on the production of weekly trading reports and providing insightful commentary on actual performance.
  • Produce other regular and ad hoc reports and analysis as required to track performance trends and support decision-making.
  • Working alongside the Technology team to develop refreshable reporting that matches the needs of the company & enables real-time, actionable insight
  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and their teams
  • Any other duties as reasonably required, from time to time, within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role. 

Person Specification:
  • Part/Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience
  • Experience setting budgets and forecasts
  • Experience of working / business partnering with cross functional / non-finance teams and successful stakeholder engagement
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and communicates in a clear and engaging manner
  • Excellent logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible in approach and adapts style appropriately
  • Excellent IT literacy, Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
  • Good PowerPoint skills
