Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a well-known manufacturing business based in Rochdale that are looking to recruit for a Cost Accountant. The company has experienced significant sustained revenue growth with output rising from sub £50million to circa £100million during the last 5 years and is still enjoying continued growth.
Job title – Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)
Salary – £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + benefits

The Role

- Preparing and analysing monthly operational results; working closely with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to explain purchasing price variances and production performance variances
- Finance lead for company product costing reviews/changes
- Liaising with Planning team to ensure the appropriate SLOB provisions are maintained
- Take responsibility for annual stock-takes across Europe – procedures and booking adjustments
- Managing product master data and SAP condition tables in relation to mark-ups, purchasing and freight burden and recovery rates
- Supporting the sales team on pricing decisions with costing information
- Providing financial support to the engineering, supply chain and operations teams in VA/VE reviews
- Supporting the business areas to prepare capex investment appraisals
- Support working capital improvement initiatives
- Preparing budgets and quarterly forecasts
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or similar operations-based business
- SAP experience would be desirable
- Highly competent in using MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel
- Be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a 'can do’ attitude
