Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with an excellent business in Blackburn as they continue to expand their global operations. This business has experienced momentous growth in recent years and have attracted a best-in-class finance team under an established CFO.

This role will be well suited someone who possesses exceptional organisational, numerical and computer skills, communicates confidently and is driven by success. Whilst the business operates a relaxed working culture, the high-volume, fast-paced nature of the role favours a more experienced Credit Controller who demonstrates an assured ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide an effective credit control service to ensure prompt collection of cash.
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly debtor reports to be reviewed at board level.
• Ensure overdue accounts are identified and chased up immediately in line with the credit control process
• Highlight payment issues and proactively drive actions and outcomes
• Liaise with other areas of the business to resolve outstanding queries
• Carry out due diligence for new clients and highlight credit risks
• Raise client invoices and direct debit schedules in line with contracts
• Post direct debits, deposit receipts and accurately maintain allocations
• Assist with collating and processing purchase invoices and staff expenses
• Collate and process credit card expenses
• Ensure ledgers are maintained and accurate

Required Skills and Experience:

• Excellent communication skills and a great telephone manner.
• The ability to build relationships with customers and display effective skills in negotiation.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work contribute as part of a team.
• Adaptable and embrace change in a positive manner.
• Able to demonstrate a positive, hard-working approach and engage with the company values.
• Adept computer literacy skills.
• 5 – 10 years’ experience working in a Credit Controller role (desired)
• AAT background (desired)
