Credit Manager | up to £45K | Leeds | PE-backed business

Axon Moore is currently representing a PE-backed business in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Credit Manager. This business has been consistently growing over the last couple of decades whilst maintaining an innovative attitude. You can expect a dynamic and fast-paced environment where a hands on approach is key to delivering results.

The Job:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Credit Manager you will take full responsibility for the leadership of the credit control function. You will develop, implement and maintain an effective credit control system for the business and manage relationships with key stakeholders including the bank, customers and UK operational teams.
  • Coordinate the quality of ledgers through targeted aging and credit allocations
  • Be a point of escalation where necessary for specific amounts/queries
  • Plan an prioritise workload for the team ensuring that all deadlines are achieved and internal cash collection targets are met
  • Prepare summary reports on a scheduled basis, including the setting up and development of KPI metrics
  • Confidently manage stakeholders, liaising with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure they key information is passed and all parties notified of progress
  • Support month and year end processes
The Person:
  • Significant experience in a similar role within credit control/accounts receivable
  • Experience in the distribution sector/similar sector would be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate team members and lead the credit control function
  • A positive and confident attitude towards workload
  • An organised individual with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to manage own workload whilst achieving internal and external deadlines
