Divisional Finance Manager

Axon Moore are recruiting for a Divisional Finance Manager role for a large scale services business based near Castleford.

The business is highly profitable with ambitious growth plans. There is a significant opportunity to join the business and play a key role building a first class finance function.

The Divisional Finance Manager will have overall financial responsibility for this key area of the business which has sales totalling £75m. They will act as a member of the divisional leadership and will interface with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include:

• Leading a small divisional finance team
• Managing all aspects of the production of monthly management accounts including cashflow forecasting and related analysis
• Business partnering with divisional directors
• Ownership of the balance sheet including reconciliations and support documentation
• Work with stakeholders and budget owners to put in place robust budgeting and forecasting procedures
• Managing a range of projects and process improvement initiatives to ensure streamlined and efficient reporting procedures are maintained

The ideal candidate for this role will ideally possess the following background and experience:

• Qualified finance leader (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Broad accounting skill set covering financial and management accounting experience
• Strong business partnering skills with a credible presence and an ability to challenge and influence a wide range of stakeholders
• Resilient mindset with a desire to improve processes and establish efficient working practices
• Able to hold a senior finance role, leading a small team and influencing those around them
