A step into an FC role with a UK market leader with multiple sites across the UK who are in the process of growing their North Yorkshire divisions?

This could be the one for you..

This is a brand new Financial Controller role looking after the Malton based division of this market leading brand. The role will report to the FD, and take full responsibility for the management accounts, reporting, forecasting, analysis and business partnering.

The business are looking for a highly ambitious, bright, driven “rising star” who has the potential to grow and develop with the business over the next 2-3 years.

The role would be ideally suited to a commercially minded qualified accountant who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoy autonomy and ownership, and has the ability to build strong relationships across the business with both finance and on finance stakeholders.


Key duties will include:

  • Assisting the Finance Director in the preparation of the Company’s reporting including:
  • Monthly management accounts and variance analysis for submission 
  • Monthly cash forecasting and reporting.
  • Quarterly profit forecasting.
  • Annual budget including setting of departmental budgets with assistance for departmental heads and monitoring of those costs.
  • Annual published IFRS statutory financial statements.
  • Deputise for the Finance Director when required.
  • Continuous improvement of the financial processes and procedures required to support the development of the business including improving internal control process and procedures.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the Company’s board and Group finance team.
  • Business partnering with finance and non finance stakeholders
  • Liaising with auditors, bankers and external advisors.
 
The successful candidate will:
  • Be fully qualfiied CIMA/ACCA/ACA - Essential
  • Have a minimum of 2 years within a Finance Manager/Assistant FC or FC position - Essential
  • Have strong technical and analytical skills including advanced MS Excel skills - Essential
  • Have experience of working within a group environment and construction or manufacturing experience - Desirable
