Job description

Axon Moore are seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Finance Assistant to join a successful business, where you will be responsible for financial administration support. About the role
As Finance Assistant you will be joining their friendly Finance team, reporting directly into their Financial Controller.  You will be responsible for various tasks such as invoice processing, credit card expenses and bank reconciliations whilst ensuring all systems are up to date and processes adhered to.    

To succeed in this role, you must have strong administration experience, within a finance team. A high level of numeracy is required with excellent attention to detail. You will need to be able to demonstrate strong IT skills with particular focus on Excel and accounting systems. You will also need to be reliable within this small team and be flexible in line with work demands.

Your duties will be as follows:

-       Maintain purchase order spreadsheet

-       Enter payments onto Sage

-       Bank reconciliations

-       Upload weekly wages and online banking

-       Processing of weekly and monthly expenses

-       Verify credit card expenses and process as required

-       Reconcile and record petty cash

-       Calculate Work in Progress (WIP)

-       Generate sales invoices

-       Collate month end stock figures

-       Maintain all systems and records as instructed ensuring all records are up to date and accurate

-       Understand and work to department processes and procedures as instructed

-      Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the Company.

-      Ensure information is communicated effectively to your Manager(s)

-       Deliver excellent levels of customer service, internally and externally

-       Carry out any further duties that may be reasonably requested of you
