Axon Moore are partnering with a large and fast paced business in Oldham, who are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to support the finance team. The company is a £120m turnover manufacturing business part of a $1bn+ global group. This role would suit someone looking to gain some broader experience outside of Credit Control.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you cover a range of duties from Credit Control and Sales Ledger to supporting with month end duties, VAT returns and analysis. It’s vitally important you are driven to learn, ambitious and can work at a fast pace.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary £23-25k per annum, ACCA/CIMA study support, 7% pension and 4x salary Life Assurance package, out of town location with free parking, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, after 6 months, there can be hybrid working 2 days in the office and 3 from home, early finish Friday and a 5% bonus!!

Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable / Credit control / Query resolution.
- VAT reporting UK & Netherlands.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Inventory Reporting
- Supporting Month End close & reporting as required.
- Variance analysis
- Journal Preparation & Posting to GL.
- Prepayments and accruals
- Ad-hoc analysis
- AAT as a minimum or CIMA/ACCA studier
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Credit Controller with a view to developing into a broader role, or an established Finance Assistant with experience in Credit Control.
- SAP experience is beneficial
- Experience with MS Excel – Vlookups and Pivot Tables are essential
