Axon Moore are recruiting a Finance Assistant to join a well-established and growing tech company based in South Leeds. Since incorporation, they have gone from strength to strength and have worked hard to establish an excellent experience for all employees and customers.
After a successful period of growth they are now seeking a Finance Assistant to join the team in this newly created role to support the Finance Director and enable future expansion plans. This role is ideally suited to someone who is keen to learn in the role and pursue a qualification.
So if you are currently studying towards your AAT and looking for a new challenge, or you have experience within finance and would like to join a business which supports your training and development. This could be the ideal role for you !
Salary & Benefits - £22,000 to £26,000, study support towards AAT, 25 days holiday, annual pay review, 5% employers pension contribution, social events and a flexible benefits package

Main Duties
- Purchase Ledger – matching and coding of invoices, chasing invoices, VAT and statement reconciliations
- Tracking purchase orders against budget and seeing approval
- Sales Ledger – raising monthly sales invoices
- Processing expenses and reconciliation of expense claims
- Dealing with queries
- Month end reporting
- Supporting the Finance Director with projects
- Calculation of prepayments, accruals and depreciation
- Filing
- Ensuring that month end deadlines are met
Person specification
- A ‘Can-do’ attitude
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Numerate, logical with good communication skills
- Personable with excellent communication skills and an ability to build both internal and external relationships
- Prior experience in an accounting role or studying towards an AAT Qualification
- Knowledge of finance systems – Sage would be beneficial
