Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the key duties will include:
- Performance measures to support and challenge the business
- Ensure visibility and understanding of accurate financial and non-financial KPIs daily, weekly and monthly
- In partnership with internal stakeholders, create detailed plans which underpin the company budget and support their growth ambitions.
- Work to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of planning and forecasting processes.
- Participate in decision-making forums, business planning, reviewing business performance and contributing to strategic direction.
- Review and influence buy plan proposals for inventory purchases and review performance.
- Produce insight into product profitability, incorporating directly attributable costs.
- Interpret performance of sales and extended profitability, perform variance analysis of sales, gross profit and stock to keep performance on target.
- Identify operational levers that will drive improvements and influence business partners to deliver the right business outcomes, balancing sales, profit and inventory implications.
The successful candidate will:
- Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA - Essential
- Have a strong commercial finance background, gained within industry - Essential
- Have a proven ability to build productive business relationships with a wide network of finance and non-finance colleagues - Essential
- Love to bring insight and challenge to the business to improve revenues and profitability - Essential
- Have strong analytical and Excel skills, honed in an environment of working with complex financial models - Essential
