Finance Business Partner | £55,000 - £62,000 | Manchester (2 days in office) | PE backed

Axon Moore are working with a highly acquisitive PE backed business in Manchester city centre, who have created a new role for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the team.

This is an extremely exciting business that have made 7 acquisitions in the last 12 months, growing turnover from £50m to £170m.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, responsibilities include:
  • Business partner with operations, sales and management in a service environment. Helping develop commercial awareness.
  • Support the Managing Director and Delivery Managers with insightful business analysis
  • Implement improvements in financial analysis and control. Develop working capital measurements and plans to control working capital levels, whilst maximising profitability and Cash Flows
  • Work with business leaders to provide meaningful information to support budgets and reforecasts.
  • Provide detailed performance reporting and KPIs for board packs.
  • Review and analyse divisional costs to support accuracy of accounts. This includes providing accurate commentary and investigation into variances
  • Create and manage company KPIs to help drive business performance
  • Ensure utilisation and WIP reports are delivered and provide direction/support on ways forward.
  • Analysis of work in progress and other manufacturing KPIs
  • Continuously look at ways to improve working files/processes/systems with the aim  of increasing accuracy
  • Drive automation of processes and data analysis, including utilisation of existing tools and working closely with MI and IT colleagues
Person specification:
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified preferably with experience in a PE backed business
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Previous experience in a commercial accounting / business partnering role is essential
