Are you a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified, and looking for a role that will offer a good mix of both management accounts and finance business partnering?

This is a brand new commercial finance role, working for a well established and known Leeds based business, who have recently gone through some phenomenal growth across the North!

As a result, they are strengthening their Leeds based commercial finance team, and are looking to hire a driven, ambitious and commercially minded Finance Business Partner.

The role will provide proactive support and challenge to the business, communicating insightful financial information to aid key business decisions. You will be the link between finance and management, providing valuable analysis and insights to influence the commercial strategy.

The role will also include all management accounts aspects for their area of the business including month end reporting, variance analysis, employee cost variances, resource planning and liaising with management and the wider business on results.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the key duties will include:
  • Ensuring clear processes are in place across business area and throughout the finance department.
  • Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies
  • Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
  • Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
  • Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
  • Produce period end and year end journals
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
  • Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
  • Understand the various revenue streams into the business to ensure, where applicable, staff costs are fully recoverable
  • Provide staffing cost advice and support to internal and external decision makers for business case and cost analysis.
  • Preparation of staff reports & KPI data for internal and external stakeholders

The successful candidate will:
  • Be CIMA/ACCA/ACA fully qualified - Essential
  • Have previous experience of both management accounts and business partnering - Essential
  • Have an advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to maniputlare data - Essential
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to engage and influence effectively with non finance stakeholders - Essential
