Finance Director

Axon Moore are partnering with a progressive and profitable manufacturing business based in Leeds to appoint their Finance Director.

This privately owned business has a turnover of £60m and this person will be a key member of the board and responsible for managing the financial aspects of the business’ 3-5 year strategy.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Overall leadership and development of the finance function
• Assessing viability of investment in new product lines and routes to market from a financial perspective
• Due Diligence and assessment of potential acquisition targets
• Ensuring discipline and sound financial management of reporting, controls, forecasting and cashflows
• Along with the Financial Controller ensure all monthly and annual reporting requirements are adhered to, including statutory year end and audits
• Managing relationships with third party advisers such as banks, insurers, lawyers etc
• Ensuring international trading activities take place effectively and efficiently, managing risks, process flows and foreign currency implications

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following skills and experience:

• Qualified Finance Leader with significant experience in a senior leadership role
• Manufacturing experience would be a strong preference for this role
• Experience in a business which trades internationally
• Acquisitions experience would be preferred
• Driven personality and someone who can bring people with them, impart the vision of the business on their team and a possess willingness to succeed
