Finance Manager | Manchester | ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified | Property Management
Axon Moore are representing a residential property management business, based in Central Manchester who are looking to bring onboard a Finance Manager to run the finance function of their growing organisation.
With a strong offering and an excellent senior management team this is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Accountant to join in an autonomous role, taking ownership and responsibility of the finance function, overseeing the finance teams development whilst also partnering with SMT.
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 + bonus
Location: Manchester/ Hybrid
Main Duties
The role is suited to someone that is competent in managing the day-to-day requirements of the finance function including, but not limited to:
- Preparation of management accounts, cashflow management and forecasting
- Support the SMT with the financial strategy and decision-making processes
- Forecasting and budgeting, reporting any variances and advising on best course of action.
- Coordinating the management of cash flow, debt and debt collection.
- Monthly payroll
- Raising invoices and credit control
- Oversee the processing of supplier invoices and payments
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Year-end accounts - overseeing the process and liaising with external accountants where required.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders e.g Bank, Solicitors
- Working with the SMT to ensure compliance with industry governing body for financial standards
- Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
- Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems.
- Support the SMT with the financial strategy and decision-making processes
Person Specification :
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
- Experience working in a standalone SME role is desirable
- Strong Excel skill set
- Strong communication skills, providing financial information quickly and clearly
