Finance Manager (3 Month FTC)

£48,000 - £55,000
Axon Moore are proud to be working on behalf of a fantastic, owner managed business who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team on a 3 month Fix Term Contract. Working alongside a Finance Director, and Chairman, this role will oversee the finance operation for their St Helen’s site.
The successful Finance Manager will be responsible for the timely production of accurate monthly management accounts. In addition this role will also help deliver and drive process improvements in management accounting and related finance processes.
Main Duties:
• Manage the day-to-day activity of a small finance function.
• Mentor and support the finance team, including line management.
• Responsible for the full end to end accounts for one group business.
• Cashflow management, utilising reports collated by the finance function.
• Management Accountants and commercial insight
• Support the development of finance systems, including the implementation of a new software product (Xero).
• Ensure all financial transactions and accurately reported and look for efficiency savings.
• Establish new financial reporting systems that provides full compliance with government guidelines.
• Create strategic plans utilising financial insight to support company growth.
• Regular review of financial plans to identify cost saving initiatives.
• Constant system review to identify any data discrepancies and seek solutions.
• Partner with the Chairman and Finance Director to ensure accurate financial information is provided for board members.
Person Specification:
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified, or Qualified By Experience.
• Experience working in an SME with strong cultural values.
• Experience working in Manufacturing is desirable, but not essential.
• A strong transactional background, with an aptitude to pick up further commercial responsibilities.
• Experience with Xero software is advantageous but not essential.
