Job description

This is a great, all round newly created Finance Manager role, working for a modern, forward thinking marketing business based in North Leeds!

Reporting to the Finance Director, the role will take overall responsibility for the day to day financial processing and management accounts preparation for the business, working on Xero.

The company have fantastic offices based in North Leeds, but operate hybrid working so are flexible with remote working!

This opportunity would be ideally suited to a fully qualified or qualified by experience management accountant, who enjoys a varied role where they have ownership and the opportunity to work autonomously.

The key duties of the role will include:
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Posting journals a
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Cashflow forecasting and management
  • Month-End Reconciliation/YTD Revenue Reporting
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • PAYE /Corporation Tax Submissions/Payments
  • Year-End Accounts
The role will also oversee and assist with the transactional processing such as:
  • Credit Control
  • Posting Purchases/Expenses
  • Handling Sales & Purchasing Queries
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Reviewing/Processing Supplier Payments/Bank Transfers
  • Reviewing payroll

The successful candidate will:
  • Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, or be qualified by experience - Essential
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience within a similar management accounts/finance manager  role - Essential
  • Have previous working knowledge of Xero - Desirable
  • Have previously working in the marketing/media or service provider sector - Desirable
