This Finance Manger role is working as part of the finance team of an established, high growth PE Backed business with head offices based in North Leeds.

Working with the Finance Director, Head of Finance and Finance Business Partner to lead and drive the Finance agenda and provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information which will facilitate achievement of business goals and targets.

The role will play a key part in driving an effective process of financial reporting and will help to support and develop the wider Finance team.

***This would be ideally suited to a bright and ambitious individual who is currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA, and looking to join a well known fast growing brand, within a commercially focused accounting role***

Reporting to the Head of Finance the key duties of this role will include:

  • Full responsibility for the end-to-end management accounts delivery and financial reporting 
  • Drive accountability for site P&Ls to Operations team and improve business performance
  • Delivery of weekly sales, wages and P&L reporting and dashboards
  • Key partner to responding to operational issues and ensuring efficient wages and stock management
  • Analysis of stock and GPs, to drive stock controls and investigate GP% variances to budget
  • Key role in the external audit and tax work
  • Responsibility for day-to-day banking and cash processes as well as driving cash controls
  • Lead the development of accounting controls, balance sheet recs, and month-end procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies to finance and business processes.
  • Review of monthly P&Ls, profitability and margins, making recommendations for improvements
  • Provide meaningful and insightful MI to assist the business with relevant decision making to drive business performance

The successful candidate will:
  • Be part qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA - Essential
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant management accounting role - Essential
  • Have strong MS Excel skills - Essential
  • Have the ability to influence, and build and management relationships - Essential
