Financial Accountant

Axon Moore are working with a well-known PLC in the Wigan area to recruit an ambitious, newly qualified Financial Accountant.

The business will offer fantastic support, training and on-going development for a bright and ambitious ACA / ACCA trained accountant who wishes to take a step up in their career. The role will shadow and learn from a high calibre leading Finance Manager and will be mentored in this role on a daily basis.

The role will consist of:

• Financial reporting
• Assisting with the preparation of key external reporting requirements, including half year and year end accounts
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant developments in financial reporting standards
• Production of month-end management accounts
• Preparation of monthly consolidated accounts
• Continually improving the reporting process to enhance the quality of management information for the Board
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and corporation tax payments
• Contribution to the development of systems and internal controls

The business is consistently pouring investment into their operation which naturally gives rise to a plethora of different opportunities for this accountant to work across the group on different projects. This will be a great holistic role for the right individual to gain a strong grounding in industry with the right contacts to progress long term.
