This is a brilliant opportunity for someone recently ACA/ACCA qualified in practice, looking to make their first move into industry with a globally recognised, award winning and UK renowned financial services organisation.
This role will join one of their key business divisions, and is newly created due to growth. You will join a brand new team based in impressive Leeds City Centre offices (2-3 days per week).
The role will encompass accounting for intra-group business transfers as well as external acquisitions including technical accounting and acquisition accounting, FCA regulatory returns and VAT returns.
You will need to be a proactive influencer with strong stakeholder management skills who can communicate effectively, with strong attention to detail, as well as analytical and investigative skills.

The key duties of this role will include:
- Support the co-ordination of year-end process of the annual financial statements.
- Prepare annual financial statements ensuring they are compliant with FRS 101 and legal requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other Finance Teams to ensure auditor requests are met, providing appropriate information in efficient timescales to ensure year-end timetables are met.
- Prepare regulatory, tax and other external reports and associated supporting documentation.
- Prepare, using legal agreements, the required accounting entries for legal entity acquisitions.
- Oversee legal entity life cycle activities during the corporate expansion plans
- Provide technical accounting, regulatory reporting and tax insight including horizon scanning.
The successful candidate will:
- Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA - Essential
- Be trained or have previous experience in practice, looking for a move into industry - Desirable
- Have knowledge of FRS 101, IFRS - Desirable
- Have advanced knowledge of MS Excel - Essential
