Financial Accountant | £28,000 – £30,000 | Preston | High-growth business | Great benefits and working culture

Axon Moore are proudly partnering with an extremely successful, exciting business – located near Preston – in their search for an ambitious Financial Accountant to join their rapidly-growing team. This role will be well suited to a Financial Accountant who demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude with an enthusiastic and energetic approach to work. Ideally, candidates will be AAT qualified or studying towards their ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with previous finance experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including all balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings and P&L variance analysis.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts.
  • Prepare information for the annual statutory audit and liaise with auditors throughout the interim and full year audits.
  • Support with both the purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Provide assistance to the Group Finance team on project and ad hoc work.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Preferably AAT / degree qualified and be studying towards a CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualification.
  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with different teams across the group.
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • An ability to think methodically and logically with a strong desire to continue learning and developing.
  • Able to work efficiently towards meeting targets and deadlines.
