Financial Accountant

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working  with a highly successful property development business who are experiencing exponential growth. This would be an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced accountant (though part qualified candidates would also be considered). The Group seeks a self-motivated individual to join the finance team working closely with the Financial Controller to continue to drive the business forward.

Salary: £40-45k

Location: East Drayton

Main Duties:

• Preparation and review of monthly financial reporting packs
• Preparation of financial account workbooks and draft accounts for the year end statutory audit
• Liaison with auditors during year end audit process
• Preparation of annual tax account workings and tax packs for tax return purposes
• Assistance with calculation of quarterly payments on account
• Preparation of quarterly bank reporting and covenant compliance calculations
• Compliance with monthly Construction Industry Scheme and VAT requirements
• Assistance with bi-monthly supplier BACS payment runs
• Monthly review of nominal account postings
• Preparation of cashflow forecasts
• Preparation for future Making Tax Digital requirements
• Other areas which may arise from time to time

Person Specification:

• Fully Qualified
• Accounting experience gained from either working in practice or industry
• Experience pf UK financial reporting under FRS 102
• Strong planning and communication skills
• Strong financial reporting
• Self-motivated
• Able to suggest improvements to existing processes, or work with Financial Controller to introduce new processes as needed
