Financial Accountant | £50,000 - £60,000 | Lancashire | High-Growth Retail Brand

Axon Moore is exclusively recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a highly reputable Retail business in the Blackburn area who have experienced sustained growth.

This is an excellent, newly created opportunity for a driven and ambitious candidate to develop under the guidance from a high-profile ACA CFO.  This is a highly visible role and you will be key in supporting the successful delivery of the Financial Strategy.

The successful Financial Accountant can expect to:

• Consolidate and report the monthly management accounts, working with finance teams to ensure a complete and accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow.
• Manage a small finance team
• Partner business leaders in understanding and controlling their cost centres.
• Support with the consolidated forecast and budget process.
• Develop and improve meaningful financial modelling and analysis.
• Support Finance Director in the production of monthly Board packs.
• Lead annual external audit process and statutory accounts production.
• Take ownership for all statutory requirements.
• Support with tax compliance and advice.
• Support with assessing the financial risks and tax implications from a commercial and technical perspective.
• Ensure that financial controls and processes are in place & maintained.

The successful applicant will be an ambitious individual looking for strong career progression. They’ll need to have the self-motivation and gravitas to lead in the above role headlines, and they’ll need to hold relevant qualifications (ACA / ACCA /CIMA) and experience. This would ideally suit a technically strong ACA looking to make a difference in a growing business.
