Axon Moore are pleased to partner with leading business based in Blackburn as they look to recruit a financial accountant on a 6 month contract position. This role will report to the Financial Controller and will take ownership for the day to day accounting and monthly/quarterly reporting of the business

The successful candidate will be qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a proven background working across group finance, strong communication skills, good excel skills and the ability to work across a variety of stakeholders

Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and monthly/quarterly reporting of the companies
- Management of the reconciliations of the group's external borrowings on a monthly basis and ensure that the debt is accounted for in line with IFRS 9.
- Management of the intercompany reconciliations across the group to ensure all balances are eliminated on consolidation.
- Assist with the production of the monthly Group consolidation.
- Production of Group balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis.
- Completion of tax packs for the tax team and support the external advisors.
- Ad-hoc financial reporting projects as and when required.
- Support the wider finance teams with relevant knowledge, transferable skills, information sharing, consistent good practice and joint commitment to the resolution of accounting issues.
