Financial Controller | £50,000 - £60,000 + bonus | Tameside, East Manchester | PE backed
Axon Moore are exclusively working with a highly successful business in Tameside who are looking to recruit an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Financial Controller to join their team. This is an excellent business that are PE backed and have been established for over 100 years, with a real market leading presence whose customers include blue chip retail brands across the UK.
This role is suited to an ‘up and comer’ with an attitude to learn and develop under a high calibre ACA qualified CFO, where you will be given the development and guidance to becoming Finance Director in 2-3 years time.
You will be responsible for:

You will be responsible for:
- Broad responsibilities covering management and statutory accounting, supporting month end process
- Lead on budgeting and forecasting working closely with CFO, CEO and Head of Sales
- Main point of contact for external advisors including audit, tax and VAT.
- Lead the finance team in the monthly reporting cycle ensuring deadline are and information is accurate.
- Responsible for forecasting and reconciling cash flow for the business including weekly 26 week cashflow forecasting for reporting to Board of Directors
- Responsibility for compliance including UK and Irish VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE/NI real time reporting, Year End P11d and other payroll reporting processes (PSA etc)
- Business partner to Chief Financial Officer and working closely with Chief Executive and Operations Director
- Systems improvements and development of reporting
- Managing and mentoring/developing small but experienced finance team
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified – essential
- Motivated self starter with desire to learn and progress
- Positive and engaging personality with an ability to build relationships across the business
- Staff management experience would be preferred but not essential
