Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a fast growing Technology business based in Manchester as they look to hire an ambitious Finance Manager looking to step into a Financial Controller position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business who have experienced double digit growth both through M&A activity and organic growth over the last few years with no signs of slowing down.
About the role
The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, management accounts, KPI, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Also responsible for financial risk management and working capital management.
Salary - £60k - £70k + bonus
Location – Manchester
Hybrid – Flexible

Main Duties:
- Managing the core finance function
- Manage the day to day running of the finance department
- Monitoring and maintenance of cashflow forecasting
- Financial modelling and budgeting
- Monthly management reporting,
- Reporting key financial and commercial information to the management team
- Working with the CFO to identify, lead and manage profit initiatives within the business
- Business partnering with various departments across the business
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts including quarterly reforecasts
- Preparation of monthly payroll and associated reporting
- Supporting the CFO on any potential M&A
- Preparation of statutory accounts and statutory filings,
- Implementation of systems and controls.
Person Specification:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Strong technical accounting background
- Experience within a similar position
- Experience of developing processes, implementing change.
- Driven and ambitious
- Comfortable with the expectations for a hands-on Finance role
- Show potential and desire to build up a Finance team as the company scales up
- Advance excel skills
- Strong cognitive and analytical ability
- Commercial awareness
