Financial Controller

Axon Moore are really excited to be partnering with an instantly recognisable international brand based in the Wirral area who are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to their ever growing finance team.
Reporting directly into a high calibre Head of Finance with an incredibly successful background, this is an excellent position where you will be a key decision maker and required to develop strong financial and business relationships across the group.
Working closely with the SLT, this highly visible role will help drive enhanced commercial decision making through the provision of more timely and accurate management reporting and MI, as well as overseeing key strategic finance transformation initiatives.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring strong financial control over key processes in a growing business with accountability for month-end process.
• Developing the reporting processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting
• Managing, leading and developing a large dynamic finance team consisting of high calibre Qualified and Part Qualified accountants.
• Responsibility for the preparation of Statutory Accounts
• Controlling the external audit process at both half year and full year – managing stakeholders and auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the business.
• Working alongside the commercial team to produce the Monthly Reporting pack
• Ensuring VAT and Tax compliance
• Drive process improvements, efficiencies and controls.
The successful applicant will be an ambitious individual looking for strong career progression. This would ideally suit an ACA Qualified, technically strong, practice trained candidate, with a strong academic track record and extensive experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
