Are you a finalist or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA Finance Manager, looking for your first step into a number two FC role?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly or nearly qualified accountant to join a highly successful and growing SME based in North Leeds.
This is a long established and highly prestigious manufacturing group that has continued to expand and grow year on year. The company have recently been through some new investment and restructure, so this is a very exciting time to be joining a well known Yorkshire brand, that is now modernising and evolving further!
Overseeing a small team, this role will report directly and work closely with the FD, and will be key in ensuring the data integrity of the chart of accounts. You will be structuring data, analysing variances, getting into the detail and influencing the company’s operational decision making. You will champion the month end process and reporting of monthly KPI’s, as well as completing ad hoc projects covering IT packages, and ERP functionality.

The key duties of this role will include:
- Managing a team of 3 (purchase/sales ledger)
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Statutory accounting and financial reporting for the group of businesses
- Production of management accounts, budgets and KPI’s
- Added value through variance and yield analysis
- Responsibility for valuation of stocktake reporting
- Recommend and implement improvements relating to systems, processes and procedures
- Be the key point of contact for the annual audit and all hmrc compliance
- Develop and support direct reports
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation policies and thresholds
- Cash forecasting and control
- Support in house payroll
The successful candidate will:
- Be ACCA/CIMA qualified or finalist
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience of full management accounts production - Essential
- Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment - Desirable
- Have previous experience of managing/supervising staff - Desirable
