Financial Reporting Consultant

Axon Moore are working with a multi mullion turnover company based in Crewe who have a need for an interim Financial Reporting Consultant to look after year end, audit and production of group statutory and consolidated accounts for a period of circa 6 months. The role is hybrid and outside IR35.

Job Description:

As interim Financial Reporting Consultant you will be responsible for leading the audit and taking full responsibility for year end and statutory reporting. You will be working alongside the management accounts team.

Duties:

• Complete statutory accounts for Group.
• Manage the audit process and be main point of contact for the auditors.
• Run corporation tax forecasts for Group.
• Prepare the information for the tax computations for the external advisors.
• Prepare the year end group consolidation and consolidated statutory accounts for EWUK (parent company).
• Be the technical point of contact for accounting queries across the EWUK Group.
• Manage the cashflow for group including preparing cashflow forecasts, managing bank balances to ensure within bank limits and authorising payments.
• Check and sign off payrolls as required.
• Prepare month end reports and analysis for US parent, respond to ad-hoc requests as required.
• Manage VAT submissions to ensure deadlines met, review submissions prepared by management accountants.
• Prepare month end reporting slides and quarterly reporting slides for the US meetings.
• Complete data for 6 monthly FCA returns.
• Prepare year end impairment workings and going concern forecasts for the auditors.

Person Specification

• Experienced with audit, statutory accounts, intercompany consolidations, tax etc.
• Immediately available or available at short notice
• Based in the North West
• ACA / ACCA Qualified
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
