Financial Reporting Manager | Cheshire | Outside IR35

Axon Moore are working with a high growth, PLC based in Cheshire who are looking to bring on board an Interim Finance Reporting Manager to cover for a period of circa 4 / 5 months.

You will predominantly be responsible for reviewing the subsidiaries statutory accounts and preparation of the back end of the Group statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS and FRS. You will be the point of liaison with the external auditors, answering any technical queries. You will also be responsible for producing the annual yea end results and board packs etc.

Main Duties:
  • Review of subsidiary accounts and preparation of the Group statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS and FRS 101.
  • Involvement in the design process of half year and year end.
  • Liaison with the Group’s external auditors.
  • Assist the divisions in creating ongoing financial standards and corporate governance.
  • Manage the completion of the annual audit performance by external advisors.
  • Seek improvement projects to develop the internal controls frameworks across the Group.
  • Support the development of an ERP system within one of the divisions.
  • Ad-hoc support on queries directly from the CFO and CEO.
  • Responsible for reporting on ESG data from across the Group.
  • Continually improve the reporting process to enhance the quality and speed of production of MI for Board.
  • Review of the Group consolidated budget model and supporting analysis.
  • Fully responsible for all reporting aspects of one small division, including Management Accounts, half year and years reporting packs and preparing the Budget.
  • Involvement in the maintenance of effective group policies and controls.
  • Acting as a point of contact with external pension advisors.
  • Support the tax computation process and managing year-end compliance.
  • First line review of treasury outputs from the Group Accountant.
Person Specification:
  • Fully qualified ideally 
  • Practice trained is advantageous, we will consider anyone with a demonstrable technical background and statutory accounts
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and FRS101
  • Advanced Excel skill set.
Additional info: Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home. 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times, free parking.
