FP&A Analyst | South Manchester | ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified | PE Backed Technology organisation

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are once again working alongside an excellent organisation based in South Manchester who have created a new role for an FP&A Analyst to join the commercial team of a PE Backed, high growth technology business.

Operating as a market leader, our client is continuing their exciting journey as they prepare for a PE exit over the next couple of years. As a consequence the commercial team is being enhanced with the addition of a Qualified Accountant. This role will be ideal for a recently Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who is looking to hold a purely commercial focused role to support the finance team and wider business. Due to the PE Backing, this role will also gain exposure to due diligence ahead of any potential transaction.

To support your ongoing development, you will be managed by an ACA Qualified Accountant that specialises in commercial finance. This will provide you with an excellent foundation to build upon, whilst also provide a succession path as you develop in the team. 

Salary: £45,000-£50,000

Main Duties:
The primary responsibilities of the role are below:
  • Support the senior leads in the preparation of annual budgets and business plans.
  • Prepare accurate Management Accounts information: P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Support the assessment of financial information to present financial performance of the business.
  • Coordinate and report on the business plans and transformation projects.
  • Review VAT returns to ensure its accurate before submission.
  • Responsible for ensuring assurance cashflow modelling.
  • Create and analyse management information, bringing various trends to the attention of business stakeholders.
  • Prepare sensitivity scenario analysis for divisional and group performance.
  • Support responses to required from Private Equity investors.
  • Working alongside the Senior FP&A Manager, you will lead the annual budget and planing process including:
    • Developing and owning the timetables for planing routines.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure all inputs are delivered on time.
    • Assistant in presenting the output of all relevant planning processes. 
    • Act as the Finance Business Partner for all Divisional Leads.
Person Specification:
  • ACA/ ACCA or CIMA Qualified
  • Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skill set
