Axon Moore are partnering with a well-established, P.E backed business based in South Manchester who are looking to bring an experienced Group Accountant into their team. With the continued success of the group function, this newly created role will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the group offering, providing financial support to the wider business and hold a reporting focus.
This Group Accountant role has been designed to be the ideal pathway for a recently qualified ACA Accountant looking to step into industry for the first time and become part of a team filled with ACA Qualified Accountants.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Benefits: Agile working – 2 days in the office

Main Duties:
- Preparing and directing the preparation of working for the Group financial statements.
- Preparing workings for subsidiary financial statements under FRS102.
- Providing technical accounting support to the team, including key papers for the audit and other ad-hoc accounting projects.
- Act as a key stakeholder for the year-end audit.
- Take ownership of the timely production of year end audit deliverables.
- Assist in the development and training the team with the opportunity to directly line manage people in the future.
- Provide input on accounting policies and procedures.
- Develop and improve the statutory reporting environment.
- Assist in completing reporting analysis request made by senior stakeholders.
- ACA Qualified.
- Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skill set.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to disseminate financial information to none financial stakeholders.
