Axon Moore are working on behalf of a very well established and growing business based in Trafford Park, to appoint a Group Credit Control Manager for their busy team, in a £350m turnover retail business.
As the Group Credit Control Manager, you will build excellent relationships with both internal and external customers, while leading a team of 7. The successful applicant will be a confident with a commercial instinct and will have sound knowledge of the credit function. This role incorporates credit risk and chasing debt and solving queries.
Salary and Benefits:
£38,000 - £42,000 per annum DOE, 5% bonus based on profit and personal performance, 24 days holiday plus banks, pension, on-site parking, subsidised canteen on-site, hybrid working 2 days from home and 37.5 hours a week which are flexible.

Duties:
- Reporting to the Group Transactional Manager, responsible for managing all aspects, including performance of a team of 7 Credit Controllers.
- Setting monthly cash collection targets/KPIs
- Cash and aged debt, cash flow forecasting
- Managing the credit insurance policies to ensure full compliance and provide risk advice to minimise bad debt
- Ensure credit limits are set and managed by auditing
- Review and approve credit account applications
- Ensure unallocated cash, failed direct debits and accounts on hold are managed by the team
- Conduct regular ledger reviews with the team with updates on performance
- Ensure data is clean and up to date
- Be the point of contact for any escalations
- Drive efficiencies, continuous improvement and process reviews.
- Experience of managing a Credit Control team
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in a transactional finance related role
- Strong people management skills
- Advanced Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Lookups – AS400 experience would be beneficial before the transfer to D365 in 2023
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of working with other Departments in order to achieve cross-department objectives
- Great attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines and deliver work in a fast-paced finance environment
