Group Finance Manager

Group Finance Manager | Bury (hybrid) | £55,000 - £65,000 | PE backed

Axon Moore are seeking an ACA/ACCA qualified technically capable Group Finance Manager to join a PE backed, market leading services business in Bury on a full time permanent basis.

You will act as a key point of contact for technical accounting queries for the group, working closely with the Group Finance Director whilst overseeing a small team. 

Responsibilities include:

• Management of the group wide financial reporting, ensuring month end and year end procedures are appropriate and adhered to
• Group consolidation, including relevant consolidation journals and outputs such as the reserves reconciliation
• Work with the FP&A manager in collecting key information from divisions for month end and year end reporting.
• Challenge group balances in terms of accuracy and validity (including balance sheet reconciliations)
• Ensure the integrity of legal entity reporting within the ERP system
• Key team member in the delivery of the annual external audit, ensuring adequate preparation, timely management of requests and maintaining excellent communication throughout.
• Drafting the statutory accounts and analysis of data for tax packs.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns
• Provide technical expertise and advice on accounting and tax matters, liaising finance team members, tax advisors or auditors as required.
• Support the central finance team or wider group as necessary, including input into system requirements or developments within the new ERP.
• Management of one direct report, responsible for staff appraisals and development.

Person specification:

• ACA/ACCA Qualified with knowledge of UKGAAP
• Good understanding of ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and adept at identifying potential issues within reporting
