Axon Moore are working with a prestigious business in Sheffield in the appointment of their Group Financial Controller.
The business is very technology focused embedding a number of advanced, hi-tech business activities to support its client base, which spans multiple international territories.
The Group Financial Controller role will report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer and play a key leadership role within the finance function, primarily focused on the Group Reporting activities, but also having responsible for multiple stakeholders and ongoing projects.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
Preparation and review of all Monthly, Quarterly and Annual consolidations and financial reporting
Implementing robust group control frameworks across all areas of the business
Take a lead role on the preparation of all financial information and management of technical accounting queries
Preparation and continuous improvement of MI and Board pack
Work with the CFO to manage annual and quarterly forecasting
Leading all tax and treasury matters, delegating where appropriate as well as performing the necessary preparation work
Work with the CFO to restructure and define the finance team structure including mentoring, training and recruiting staff
Ad-hoc projects based on improvement and efficiencies in reporting, process and ERP

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and experience;
Qualified finance leader (ideally ACA from a Top 10 Accounting Practice with post-qualification industry experience)
Strong experience within a Group Reporting environment
Strong technical experience and a willingness to be the technical accounting lead for the business
Leadership and management experience
