About the role

As the Treasury Manager you will be responsible for all the core areas of Treasury. You will be required to maintain stewardship for financial assets and debt including overall leadership of the cash management, debt management and investment management functions, including maintaining an efficient running of the Group’s treasury requirements, supporting a strong control environment, and enabling clean audit reports.

Salary - £65,000 - £75,000 + bonus
Location – Manchester / Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Main Duties
  • Manages treasury function, including meeting short and long-term funding needs
  • Maintains and manages relationship with 3rd party Trusts, to ensure the efficient and timely release of cash to the business
  • Manages and negotiates banking and investment banking relationships
  • Develops and implements cash management operational strategies
  • Oversees and implements hedging strategies
  • Oversees interest rate risk management
  • Oversees and report on cash flow forecasting
  • Manages investment of excess funds
  • Weekly net debt reporting to the Exec Board
  • Reviews monthly interest journal entries and accruals
  • Oversees preparation and reporting of loan covenant compliance
  • Ensures the maintenance of corporate liquidity and financial stability. Develops and manages strategies, operations, policies and budgets relating to treasury activities
  • Actively seek out improvement opportunities to improve the overall governance framework of the Treasury function
Person Specification
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA qualified Accountant
  • 3+ years’ experience gained in a similar environment
  • Proven experience of working in a fast-paced, changing, environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Active participation in systems improvement/implementation programmes
  • Think digitally and continue to support an evolving digital first business
  • Embrace using digital systems to support delivery of an efficient, robust finance environment.
