Head of Finance | Central Manchester | PE backed / high Growth Services

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working in partnership with a private equity backed global services business, a leader in their chosen field, who are looking to hire an ambitious and driven Head of Finance. This company has been on an exceptional growth journey in the last 10 years, re-investing in its people and continuing to develop the strategy in order to maintain the double digit growth they have experienced year on year for over a decade.

This is an exciting time to join the business, with an approx. 20% growth again this year and a target of just shy of £400m. The business also plans to complete a transaction within the next 18months which is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of.

As the Head of Finance for a global business, you will lead our finance function and support the company's financial strategy. This will give you the opportunity to work alongside a high calibre CFO and a strong senior leadership team, including some exceptional regional directors, senior managers and department heads throughout the operations and support functions whilst managing, coaching and developing a core finance team. You will work closely with the executive team to optimise financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also lead the development of digital finance capabilities across the organisation.

Salary: £80,000-£90,000 + bonus + benefits
Location: Manchester City Centre (3 days in the office / 2 days from home)

Main Duties:
  • Lead the finance function, including group finance, management accounts, tax, treasury, and internal controls.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
  • Drive the development of digital finance capabilities, including the implementation of new financial systems and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements globally and support external reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
Person Specification:
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Experience in a high-growth company, preferably in the PE backed with a track record of investor relations
  • Experience of liquidity management, raising funds and building strong relationships with international banks
  • Strong digital skills, with experience in implementing new financial systems and tools.
  • Excellent financial modelling and analysis skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
