Axon Moore are working with a leading prestigious global arts establishment who have strong investment, and excellent service, paving the way for some very interesting developments over the next few years.
As they enter the next phase they are looking to appoint a dynamic and collaborative finance professional to join them on an interim basis as they further develop the finance function.
The Interim Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Finance & Resources to build and develop the finance team after a recent period of recruitment and growth; to backfill management of the operational finance function during a focused period of strategic planning through Q1 2024 and to support the wider financial planning work.

Duties:
Financial Planning
- Work closely with the Head of FP&A and Director of Finance & Resources to plan and deliver a Q3 forecast update that ensures financial risk is being correctly tracked.
- Work with the wider business across Jan – Feb 24 to deliver and present an approved annual budget for the financial year ahead.
- Input into and support the weekly cash forecasting exercise ensuring that the 16-week look ahead remains accurate and up to date.
- Drive a business partnering approach throughout the finance team ensuring that the team are oriented to the needs of the business and are on a path to continually improve the quality of financial information provided.
- Drive a professionalism across the finance team that ensures an attention to detail and comprehension of the information that is being provided to non-financial stakeholders.
- Encourage the finance team to understand and learn about the business by establishing productive and meaningful relationships with the wider business.
- Deliver financial support to commercial team both to manage existing partnerships and to support the modelling of new partnerships and sponsorships.
- Deliver partnered financial support (including forecasting and planning) to key trading subsidiary for skills & learning.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes within the accounting system.
- Develop and implement robust financial reporting mechanisms to provide accurate and timely information to stakeholders.

Essential
- Fully qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
- Prior experience of operating at a senior finance level in a growing SME environment
- Significant and demonstrable experience of strategic planning and financial forecasting
- Ability to influence and engage leaders and decision-makers on financial matters
